Hatred and attraction, the most dark clouds

Like a lotus growing from the mud
delightes the mind when appears in front of it,
but later this pleasure disappears
in the same way delightes us the pleasure of attachment. (v.1.136)

In the same way as bees
begin to sting when are disturbed
similarly appears suffering in the heart
when hatred emerges (v.1.137)

It's difficult to recognise own state of the mind when it's covered by the clouds of attachment or hatred. But if we are able to look at our mind in this moment, we can understand, that we exagerate the qualities of other person. Those we like and those that we don't like. And more the mind is stinged, more dark are the clouds covering the mind.

How can we prove that our love is not so as we thought in the first moment? Simply. More we stay/live with the object of our desire, love, less is the attraction for it. So we can understand that the initially we have seen the object of our love with exagerated qualities.

But when we have an object of our attraction, there is a seed of the hatred in our heart.

The hatred in the other way becomes greater and greater with attention that we give to the object of it.

To stop the hatred we can speak with us about it's bad sides after it's happend to us. Find arguments we have/look for to maintain it. We look always for arguments that justify hatred. So, find what arguments invents your mind to maintain this cloud more and more dark.

When we do it, we will find that we don't like somebody's behaviour. But this is not a valid reason to become angry and as conseguence to act negatively.

  1. Our mind should be like the lotus growing out of the mud but occasionally, the lotus tend to bend into the mud.
