Is Khambo Lama Itighelov Alive?

Is he alive or dead?
80 years is he dead. Buried in a sarcophagus.
But he is alive.
Researches say.
His skin is flexible. The proteins are on the levels of alive body.
All joints are flexible. Hairs and nails are as in alive body. The skin and muscles, when pressed, has reaction of the alive body. When the box with meditating Lama was opend there air was profumed.

Lama was sitting in the Lotos-pose in the box, and all parts of body were on their places (eyes, nose, ears -in dead person or mummy they don't remain at their places). There was not putrefaction at all.

15 June of 1927 Khambo Lama asked his pupils to recite a mantra for a dead person. They did not want do it, so he recited it himself and entered in the state of meditation. He asked to open his body after 30 years. The box was opend, but the body was nor putrifyed. So the box was closed and burried once more (if the body was putrifyed, the buddhists had to fire it). In 2002 the box was opened in the presence of many scientists. With the results I just described.

All these years (from 2002) he is in the temple under the ball of glass with normal temperature of the room. There are not signs of putrifaction. He has even blood. It is in the jelly-state. From time to time he changes weight. Sometimes less sometimes more.

Buddhists do not alow to make more researches. "Khambo Lama did not give the directions to do it. We don't need any proves. For us he is alive," say they.

Jampa Sandepa from India on the conference said, Khambo Lama is in the state of the profound meditation, and there were different examples of it in the history of Buddhismus. Maybe he could reach the state of samadhi where a person can control his living processes.

PS
When I was a school-girl, in 70-th, there was one yogi that said to his pupils to burry him in a wooden box for 20 years, I think. Some years ago I heard in Italian TV, that the pupils unburried that yogi. I think, he is alive, but I'm not sure.

Where to find joy in the modern life

This post is not about religions and other difficult things. But I need some sentences with "embarrassing" words to introduce the theme.

Maybe you will not believe me, but I had great controversies with different persons from different nations, that practice buddhismus, discussing it. Joy is one of the most important demands for a practicioner, I said. Texts say, you will have more realizations if you practice with joy, I said. But -as always and you are accustomed of it too- I forgot, where I read about it. I have this sort of memory: I remember the content, but I don't remember the author or the title.

Yesterday I was very sad and in anxiety, could not do anything and decided to make a catalog of buddhists text I have, those I learned in the ILTK.
I opend "The Precious Garland" by Abbot Dragpa Ghieltsen to write summary... and began to read it. This text is a comment to "Bodhisattvacharyavatara" (Shantideva) -one of the very important texts speaking about actions of a Bodhisattva (once, I think, Dalai Lama said, this is the most important book in his life).

Bodhisattva is a person with many precious qualities. Every Bodhisattva has to reach different Perfections (from 6 to 10) to become Buddha.

What is interesting for me this time: one of these Perfections is Joy.

"the fulfilment of the aim of every action is possible with joyful effort"
"It's unpossible that concentration can appear in a lazy person, you have to generate joyful effort day and night."
"joyful effort of the non-indolence is reached through the help to others"
"method to increase virtue is joyful effort"

In this world, wild and mad elephants
are not able to make damage
similar to the most deep infernal sufferings
caused by the rabid elephant of my mind. (5.3)

...all types of enemies
will be curbed
by only subdue of my mind... (5.5)

"... has to supervise own mind to avoid that it turns to the mistaken objects"
"... all those manifestations are only produced by the negative mind..."

All these quotations are very good, will say somebody, but the life is something where the joy is rare thing. Go out in the street -you will find mostly sad, indifferent, wicked persons. Specially in great cities. Try to smile to every person you meet in the street.
You are right. Unfortunatelly our existance is mostly infernal. And more we follow our negative mind more deep is our hell. And one day we understand that we become negative person. Always negative. And, the "best", we don't want to change.

First I read in on place that to become positive we have to exercise us remembering positive feelings.
For example. Look at the joy your body feels when you begin to wash yourself. Look at the joyful feeling your body has when after working day it touches the soft sheet. ecc.
You know, it's really iteresting. Personally I had never noticed these peculiarities. The joy of my skin after bath... ( photo)

And than I found one site of the followers of Thich Nhat Hanh (there are many sites) and different practices always full of joy there. Every movement is for him a meditation, every movement is the occasion to be happy.

As example I copy here his Tea meditation. No, think about it: tea time as meditation. Because meditation for him is joy -just as all texts want it.
Tea meditation is a time to be with the Sangha (group of followers) in a joyful and serene atmosphere. Just to enjoy our tea together is enough. It is like a “good news” occasion, when we share our joy and happiness in being together.
Than I was interested to read other practices (on the left of that page). It was really great reading for my research: where we have to find joy in the modern life.

Geshe Jampa Gyatso passed away this morning

I told you that my first studies of Buddhismus I made in Lama Tzong Khapa Institute situated in Pomaia/Italy in a very beautiful castel of Toscana. Geshe Jampa Gyatso was the principal tutor of the Basic Program. Most things I know about buddhist phylosophy I due to his teachings.

Hope our prayers will help him in bardo and he can reach Enlightenment and turn back as Buddha to assist all us and to continue to teach us.

Steven Seagal is now honorary freeman of Kalmykia

This actor is my great love. I can't juge him as a good or bad actor. The films where you see him are often "childish" but they have a good soul, they are lighty (?) and with hope for little persons. Something like a good fable, what we need specialy in these difficult period in the life, when everybody chants only bandits, money ecc.

In this life Steven Seagal is so courageous to sing justice and eternal valuables. There are not so many persons that have this courage. That is why I love him.

“Try to find the path of least resistance and use it without harming others. Live with integrity and morality, not only with people but with all beings.”

“It doesn't work if the bad guys kill his mother's uncle's friend's neighbor's pet dog. You've got to make the stakes high.”

The today notice is that Kalmykia announced him it's honorary freeman for his contribution to the popularization of buddhismus. (and in the moment he was there for his Path, not for the award)

He earned his black belt in aikido, karate, judo, and kendo.

Feng Shui in Sochi

This is a completly new theme for me. I had never written about it. I knew something about feng shui befor, but I was not interested to study something more.

When I went to Russia this summer, I found infinite displays with many feng shui souvenirs there. Than in Sochi, I went for a walk in my favourite street and found a little specialized shop there.

I'm very slow, when I have to chose something for me, specially if it's completely unknown object, so you can see me many days going around it.

In this case I was really very slow. I liked these things, I passed different times by, but I did not buy there. You know how are the negotiants. Specially in Russia it is a problem for me. After 5 minutes when I enter in a shop there is a body guard near me showing me that I have to buy or to go out. Even if I buy, the guard don't goes away. Seems I have the face of a thief

The lady in this shop was very different: she did not say anything to me, I could stay in the shop for hours and if I asked about something, she told me about it with so great passion that I began to see this new thing with other eyes. So at the end I bought what I need more (talismans for great wealth, of course), and imagin, when I came home the site for paid posts raised my rate! ;)))

So when I came this time to Sochi, I went to this lady and offered her to write about her and post her photos. You know, a person that is so passionate in something provokes always great respect. I asked her to write me her name ... and was shocked. Do you know Who is she? One moment, I'll translate for you:

Rudus Svetlana, international feng shui forum's consultant, pupil and disciple of Raimond Lo and Steven Skinner, expert of Feng Shui

Oh yes, I'm a great expert in many things too. If you ask me about gardening, flowers or Buddismus I'll tell you about them for hours, but I have no one title. I learned everything myself reading books and surfing in internet. No, Buddhismus I learned in Basic Program of FPMT... But I have no titles anyway. Those are my passions without titles. :)))

So, here I present you this interesting woman. Do you want to go in Sochi? Visit her shop in Navaghinskaja street, it's in centre, in front of Aeroflot office.

More about Feng Shui I want to write next time. I learned it's about my favourite theme about positive cosmic energies... So if you have something to help me for my next post, pls write to me.
